THE ORGANIZATION
The Pine Tree Pistol Club (PTPC) of Rockford is an organization of people who share an interest in shooting sports and the lawful ownership and use of firearms. This common bond unites members who are professional, homemakers, business and trades people, and retirees. Members elected officers and directors manage PTPC. The members perform all organized activities and maintenance of the building. A not-for-profit corporation founded in 1954, dedicated to serving the shooting sports enthusiast with a safe, enjoyable environment.
THE BUILDING
PTPC has three heated and well-ventilated ranges. Range 1 has six firing points that are 25 yards long. One of these points is handicapped accessible. Range II has twelve firing points and is 50 feet long. All points on Ranges I and II have target carriers for convenient recovery of targets. Range III is 25 yards long, but has no fixed firing points; it is available for law-enforcement and holster qualified use only. PTPC also has a meeting/class room and full kitchen. The building is fully handicapped accessible and smoke-free.
THE HOURS OF OPERATION
PTPC has no set hours of operation. Keys are issued to full members who may use the facilities at their convenience. Occasionally a range may be closed for organized shooting events or maintenance. Members will be notified of any scheduled closures on this website, the members only forum and our newsletter Ricochets.
