Pine Tree Pistol Club is happy to announce that we now offer the NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program's Handgun qualification to our list of Shooting Sport activities.

Qualification shooting is an informal, year-round recreational shooting activity that provides incentive awards for developing and improving marksmanship skills. It's a drill. We set the standards; you meet the challenge! Progression is self-paced and scores are challenging but attainable. Performance is measured against established par scores and any shooter who meets or exceeds those scores is entitled to the corresponding recognition awards for that rating.

The courses of fire in the qualification program are designed to take shooters from beginning skill levels (Pro-Marksman, Marksman) through intermediate levels (Marksman 1st Class, Sharpshooter, Expert) up to a nationally recognized skill level -- Distinguished Expert -- the pinnacle of the program. By the time a shooter completes the Distinguished Expert rating, he or she has attained a proficiency level paralleling that of a competitively classified Sharpshooter. The NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program offers family fun and enjoyment that can last a lifetime!

Eligibility
NRA Qualification courses of fire are open to everyone -- men and women, adults and youth. (The minimum age at Pine Tree is nine at the discretion of the instructors.)

Safety
When firing for qualification ratings, always follow the NRA gun safety rules and Pine Tree's range rules.

Ammo, Targets & Pasters
Members provide their own firearms and ammunition.
Pine Tree will provide the necessary paper plates, D-1 Targets and target pasters.

Records
A record of the date when each rating was achieved and the awards that were acquired will be kept by the program administrator in case replacement certificates or awards are required. (at an additional cost)

Pro-Marksman: $15 - Includes the Handgun Qualification Patch, Certificate, Rocker Patch, Medal & Pin.
Marksman: $15 - Includes a Certificate, Rocker Patch, Medal & Pin.
Marksman 1st Class: $15 - Includes a Certificate, Rocker Patch, Medal (and bar) & Pin.
Sharpshooter: $15 - Includes a Certificate, Rocker Patch, Medal & Pin.
Expert: $15 - Includes a Certificate, Rocker Patch, Medal & Pin.
Distinguished Expert: $30 - Includes a Certificate, Rocker Patch, Distinguished Expert Medal (and bar) & Pin.

We also offer a certificate only option for those not interested in the other awards for $5 per level.
NOTE: Distinguished Expert is NOT available as a certificate only option.
