Join the Bulls-eye League
Bulls-eye league has started up again for this year. We shoot on Tuesday nights starting at 6:30 pm. This is a great time to come out and get some structured practice, and meet other club members in a relaxed setting.
We typically shoot two lines, one at 6:30 pm, and the other at about 7:00 pm. The first line is .22 rimfire only, the second is .22 rimfire or centerfire. If needed, we can shoot a third line to accommodate additional participants. Each line consists of three targets, with ten rounds on each target. The first target is slow fire (ten rounds in ten minutes). The second target is timed fire (two strings of five rounds, each string fired in 20 seconds). The third target is rapid fire (two strings of five rounds, each string fired in 10 seconds).
Any .22 rimfire pistol is fine for the .22 part, and any centerfire pistol can be fired on the centerfire portion (within PTPC's ammunition and caliber limits). Semi-automatics have an advantage in timed and rapid fire, but not as much as you might think.
The league runs from October through March and the last night is our annual tournament. The tournament uses a handicap system to score based on your average score throughout the league.
Come on down and join the fun. Cost is $3.00 for one gun, $5.00 for two guns. Non-members are welcome as well, but are charged an additional $1.00 per night.

WIIT 2007
The WIIT is over for 2007. Again we had a great match. We had a full house with great stages, great food and a great staff.
As always we try to bring a stage to the table that is a little different. Well the WIIT 07 was no different. Dan Vestal came up with a concept, Jeff Fischer applied some software and electrical know-how, Lyle Kurz made the mechanical parts work and all that work made WACK A MOLE come to life.
The Wack a Mole was a row of targets that had no shoots moving up and down in front of them to make the targets appear and disappear. It was all started by wacking a mole on the head (like the old arcade game).
There where also eight other good stages. Including Trip This, 3V, Hall A Way, Open Door Policy and others.
The match was attened by shooters from five states and included two Grand Masters, several Masters and a multitude of other top shooters.
In closing I want to thank the range staff, office staff, set up staff, kitchen staff and the competitors for a GREAT match!

GUNSHOW
Snow, ice pellets and freezing rain plagued the day for our February 25th gun show. About 30% of the vendors decided not to show up, but considering the weather, I don't blame them one bit. All things considered, we had a good day with just shy of 700 people walking through the door, short of our normal 1100 for this show. Door revenues were down but raffle revenues were up so we did "OK". Next show is July 29th. Information cards are available on the counter at the club. Pick some up and give to people who are interested in firearms and thus might be interested in attending the show. Post some on bulletin boards at civic and fraternal clubs, union halls, and even grocery and hardware stores. Or, just leave one at the barber shop next time you get a haircut. Mail one to a friend or relative who might be interested. Contact me anytime with questions or suggestions. I can always use volunteers....Didn't have enough for the February show! 815-608-9032 or aspen7739@aol.com Dave
